Born and raised in Auckland, New Zealand, Mark Petrie traveled to the US after winning a scholarship to study film scoring at Berklee College of Music. Chosen as one of the recipients of the Pete Carpenter Fellowship in 2004, he moved to Los Angeles to work with the TV music icon Mike Post. In recent years Mark has enjoyed a steady stream of film scoring assignments in a wide range of genres. In addition to his work in film, Mark’s music is used every day in television shows all over the world. In fact, over 60 different shows have used Mark’s music over the past 5 years. Today Mark works out of his West LA studio with his wife Gina, composing for projects from all over the world.
